Overview
The Jimmie Creek run-of-river hydroelectric power generating plant is located in the Toba Valley, approximately 160 km north of Vancouver, British Columbia. This plant has a nameplate capacity of 62 MW with an estimated annual energy output of 159,000 MWh. Ross Morrison Electrical was responsible for the installation of all powerhouse generating equipment including the plants control and protection system. With this project being remote and only accessible by seaplane and material/equipment arriving by barge this installation required extensive planning and preparation to maintain the project schedule.
